Tribute to Steven Blake, 1953 - 2026

This site is a tribute to Steven Blake, who was born on April 4, 1953. He is much loved and will always be remembered.

We want to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who attended in person or joined via the live stream. Your presence and support meant so much to the family and would have meant a great deal to Steven too. The service was beautiful and truly held a space to honour Steven in the way he would have wanted.

Steven will be remembered for his kindness, integrity, and unwavering dedication to supporting others, as well as the humour and warmth he brought to those around him.

The words he shared with his community on the morning he passed, “All we truly own are our thoughts,” are a lasting reflection of the wisdom he carried throughout his life.

Steven, It's six months since you passed, and I miss you every day. We're doing our best to keep the promise, to carry your work forward and let it grow the way you always hoped it would. But there's so much I want to tell you about, so much I wish I could talk through with you and hear your response. That's the hardest part: going forward without you there to share it with. There's real excitement about where this is heading, and I only wish you were here enjoying these moments of optimism with us. But there's an emptiness running right through it, a space where you should have been. Thank you for all of it. We'll keep going.

I was so sorry to hear of Steven's passing. I think I was one of the lucky ones to first train with Steven. My heart goes out to Trudy and the family. What a wonderful man he was and what an amazing legacy OldPain2Go is.

I met Steven at the UKHC 2024 in London and set next to him at the gala dinner. Immediately decided to train with him. I'm grateful for knowing Steven and very sad he is no longer there to share his insights. His legacy in the form of OldPain2Go will live on.

I was fortunate to have done Steven's training. Steven was clearly an incredible human being who cared for others so much to develop OldPain2Go. I feel blessed to have learned from him as did so many others. He was a teacher in the truest sense of the word and a wonderful human being. He will be missed, and my sincere condolences to Trudy and family.

OLD OldPain2Go Certificate 7.1.17 - Feel blessed to have trained in OldPain2Go right at the beginning.

There are teachers and there are teachers. He was so giving, he's gifted the world something that is so revolutionary. I am so sad that I will never share the same room with him for more training. His views and stance throughout the pandemic kept me sane and not alone. What a rare soul, his ethics as a teacher is unique. He only wanted the best for us.

I'll be forever grateful to Steven for sharing his wisdom with us, for teaching us how to help others remove their chronic pain, and for being one of the most generous humans I have known. RIP Steven <3

Today I say goodbye to a remarkable man, a mentor, and a friend. I met Steven in Scotland in 2015 during our NLP Master Practitioner training, and I can honestly say my life was never the same after that. In moments when I was fighting my own inner battles, he took the time to sit with me, to listen, to guide, and to remind me of my strength when I could not see it myself. Steven, your kindness, wisdom, and quiet generosity changed the trajectory of my life. You had a way of making people feel seen, supported, and capable of more than they believed possible. Thank you for every conversation, every word of encouragement, and for always being the first to wish me a happy birthday — such a simple gesture, yet it meant so much. Your legacy lives on in the lives you touched, including mine. I will carry what you taught me with gratitude and love. Rest peacefully. You will never be forgotten 🤍

I was absolutely devastated when I read that Steven had passed away, and I still can’t believe that he is no longer with us. The unexpected news filled me with great sadness. What a huge loss to humanity Steven is. My heart goes out to you Trudy and to Steven’s family. Steven was such a dedicated, enthusiastic, helpful, generous, and modest person with a deeply caring nature and a great sense of humour. I feel deeply honoured and privileged to have been trained (online) by him and am sorry that I never had the opportunity to meet him in person. The death of such a wonderful person leaves a space in our lives that nothing and no one can ever replace but with the fond memories of Steven we can keep him alive in our hearts.

Steven helped me through bad times at the start of his therapy services..in fact he told me I was what started it all.....he was such a lovely kind hearted man.... He only ever spoke nice words ...what a loss to the world this is.....Much love to you Trudy you must be bereft xx
